Given one or several genes from a query organism, collect all orthologous genes for a given taxonomical level
and discover conserved elements in their promoters.

Phylogenetic tools are not supported on this instance of RSAT.

Our tools for phylogenetic footprinting (footprint-discovery, footprint-scan) are particularly well suited for microbial genomes (small genomes, many species available), but give poor results with multicellular organisms.
